Okay, I confess – I’m a “green” health care practitioner.
What makes me so green?
My work has a zero carbon footprint. As a holistic practitioner, I use zero technology. In fact, what I do uses zero resources of any kind.
Unless you count the Reiki table, or the Reiki chair which obviously used up some resources and energy to build. But I did Reiki before I had the table or the chair. You can do Reiki in any chair. You can lie down on a cot. You can lie down on the ground. You can sit and lean against a tree.
And EFT doesn’t need anything other than yourself to be effective. Neither does counseling.
Of course, I am using the internet to communicate, and I do maintain a website, which clearly use resources for the equipment, and energy to power all the gizmos. And if I do telephone work with you, the whole phone system infrastructure is pretty much essential.
But if I didn’t have any of that, if we just met up on a prairie someplace, or in the woods, out in the frozen tundra, or on a lifeboat, I could do my work and be just as effective. No machines, no tools, no medications, no power, nothing. Talk about eco-friendly!
My primary care physician is just green with envy.
